August 2026 Update
The results at the Commonwealth Games were honestly a little disappointing for me. I really wanted to win the team pursuit and would have loved to medal again in the individual pursuit, but unfortunately a combination of my legs not feeling quite right and coming down with a cold meant I wasn’t able to perform at my best.
While it wasn’t the Games I was hoping for, I’ve taken a lot from the experience. In particular, it has given me a much better understanding of what I need from my preparation and build up heading towards the 2028 Olympics, which is a really positive thing to take away from it.
After the Games, I flew to South Africa with my dad and boyfriend to visit family I hadn’t seen in 15 years. It was really special to spend 10 days with them. We also did a couple of days animal spotting at Kruger National Park, which was definitely a highlight!
Once we got home, it was straight back into training for me as I prepare for the upcoming Track Cycling World Championships in October. I’ll be racing in the team pursuit and Madison!

Engagement!!!
Yay! After 6.5 years together, my boyfriend asked me to marry him while we were in South Africa! It was so special to have him ask me there, and we were able to celebrate our engagement together with my extended family, which made the whole trip even more special.
