Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ
Breaking barriers, saving lives.
Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ (PCFNZ) exists to make sure no one has to face prostate cancer alone, and that they can navigate their journey with knowledge and respect.
1 in 8 Kiwi men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime — it’s the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second highest cause of cancer death for men in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, a story. We’re here to walk alongside them, offering support, raising awareness, funding research for a better future, and driving change to improve outcomes and improve quality of life for those impacted by prostate cancer.
PCFNZ provides vital support, education and information to individuals and their families, as well as reducing the impact of prostate cancer through raising awareness, funding NZ-based research and advocating for improved standards of care.
With no government funding, your donation helps us provide a wide range of remote and in-person services, such as a nurse-led toll-free information service, 24/7 Counselling, a national peer-support programme, and the tailored exercise programmes Prost-FIT and Prostate Cancer Patient Empowerment Programme.
Mike Lane is one of the many men your donation supports:
“Hearing the words ‘you have prostate cancer’ really hit hard — I’d always looked after my health. But prostate cancer doesn’t discriminate. What got me through was the support from my local prostate cancer support group and Prost-FIT classes. The camaraderie and encouragement were unreal, so much so I’m now giving back — and it’s all only possible because of supporters like you.”
By supporting Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ you are helping fund the care, connection, and hope men like Mike rely on, and create a better prostate cancer care landscape for future generations.
