May 2026 Update
In May, I got back into training and started building some form ahead of my first race in America at the end of the month.
I flew over on May 21st and raced for the first time on May 24th with my Fearless Femme Racing Team. At our first race, we finished 3rd on the first day and 5th on the second day. It was a great way to start the season.
Next up was the Armed Forces Race in Washington, DC, which is known as one of the toughest races of the year. Once again, we placed 3rd on Day One and 5th on Day Two, with two of us finishing in the top 10 overall out of 90 riders.
Racing in America this year, I feel so much more confident than I did last season. I’m making smarter moves, which is helping me save energy for the end of the races so I can lead out my sprinter teammate. It’s been awesome to be back in a place I grew to love last year, with the added bonus of much warmer weather than New Zealand!
