Rider Check In
Great Lake Centre, Tongariro Street, Taupō
FRIDAY 12PM – 8PM
SATURDAY 6AM – 9AM (check in for Length of the Lake riders is only available as per below on Saturday at the start of the Length of the Lake)
Please note that all entrants in the Independent Traffic Length of the Lake using the Rider and Bike transport option must check in on Friday and rack their bikes as these will be transported to Tūrangi overnight

SATURDAY 8AM – 10AM -Independent Traffic Control Length of the Lake Entrants ONLY
You must bring photo ID with you to Rider Check In to collect your event pack.
All minor spot prizes are drawn at Rider Check In.
Late entries and changes to categories and start groups (Round the Lake ) are only available on Friday between 12pm - 8pm.
Event Merchandise

Please note that all pre-ordered merchandise for overseas based entrants can be picked up at the merchandise store during these hours.
Sport and Lifestyle Expo
Great Lake Centre, Tongariro Street, Taupō
FRIDAY 12PM – 8PM
The Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge Expo will be held on Friday at the Great Lake Centre and is New Zealand's largest cycling expo. Leading up to the Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge, the expo showcases the latest and greatest in cycling, sport and lifestyle options and attracts around 10,000 visitors annually.
Drop Bag Collection
Great Lake Centre, Tongariro Street, Taupō
SATURDAY FROM APPROX 11AM
We will not be supplying event bags for the 2023 event as part of our sustainability policy. Please use a small bag to put any items or clothing that you would like at the end of your ride. Please do not place anything of value in your drop bag. You will receive a drop bag sticker with your bib/mountain bike plate and this will need to be securely fastened around the straps of your bag.
Drop bag collection will be available from approximately 11am in the Great Lake Centre, please bring your bib/mountain bike plate with you to claim your bag. Any bags left after the event will be held for a month after the event, after this time any items will be donated to charity.
If you have left your drop bag behind please email us with your bib number so that we can organise getting this back to you.
