October 2025 Recap

October was full focus on the lead up to the Track Cycling World Champs with a complete bunch focus. We had some incredibly hard training sessions with a lot of sprints, but they wee great preparation for racing.

At the World Champs, the elimination race had a number of crashes, which I was lucky to avoid. However, I was eliminated early, which was disappointing. but not due to a lack of fitness or strength, because my legs felt good, but due to a lack of experience in that particular event at such a high level.

A couple of days later, I raced the Madison with my teammate Sami. I was feeling really good in the first pat of the race, but unfortunately I go caught up in a crash and came down. After a quick check of my head and body, I was cleared to get back into the race and we finished 7th. It wasn’t the result we were after, but we had some great moments during the race and finished strong despite the crash.

My final race was the points race. I wen into it with absolutely zero expectations. My legs felt good and I was racing smart. I found myself in the lead with 20 laps to go after winning several sprints and lapping the field twice, but the fatigue hit hard and I went into survival mode, unable to chase down the riders who finished ahead of me. I thought I’d finished 5th and felt extremely disappointed, until my coach told me I’d actually got 3rd. I felt so relieved and happy.

It was my first ever bunch race medal at a World Champs, and everyone said it was such an exciting race and the best they had ever seen me race in a bunch event.

A week later, I raced the final criterium of the Copec Crit series in Chile with my teammate from Fearless Femme Racing. I still seemed to have my speedy points race legs, winning both the intermediate sprints and the final sprint to take the win!

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.

Collaboratively we are creative, share sustainable values and work hard for great outcomes because that’s the buzz of satisfaction that drives us.

If you have an audience and market to reach, we can make that happen. Creative design, words that work and smart behind the scenes stuff that cuts through the online noise. We’ll design your website and then build it. We’ll manage the content as well as all your hosting needs. We can handle your online advertising so you get noticed,
and we’ll manage your social media presence so you get the clicks, likes and engagement to grow your business. All within the budget you set, because none of this needs to cost the earth.  And the job doesn’t stop when your website goes live. We are your virtual business partner.
