September Recap
In September I wrapped up my last races of the season with Fearless Femme Racing.
It didn’t quite go to plan with two of my teammates crashing at the Maryland race and couldn’t start the final criterium. It was a tough couple of days, and the fatigue definitely showed...only two of us finished, placing 12th and 14th. Not the final hoorah we hoped for but we still finished on a high by celebrating the season with our team and supporters.
I’m now back in New Zealand and straight into prep for the Track Cycling World Champs in Chile at the end of the month. We were focused on the Team Pursuit, but now with Ally sidelined by a concussion she sustained in racing we’ve shifted to a bunch event focus instead. I’m gutted we won’t line up for TP, but I’m really excited to race the elimination, madison, and points race. It will be a super great learning opportunity and the change up in training has been refreshing!
